Our Story

Alford Farms was started in 1959 by Ronell and Wilda Alford. We are located in Chalybeate, Kentucky and we farm land in Warren, Edmonson and Grayson counties. Today we produce Soybeans, Corn and Wheat.

We produce seed beans for Stine Seed Company along with commercial soybeans that are used to produce oil and meal. Our corn is used in ethanol, livestock feed, and bourbon. Our wheat is mostly made into flour for biscuits.

We are family farm operation that strives to protect our land and the land that we lease. We strive to conserve the soil for future generations.

"The conservation of natural resources is the fundamental problem. Unless we solve that problem, it will avail us little to solve all others."
Theodore Roosevelt

Our Commitment to Conservation

Conservation of the land is paramount at Alford Farms. We utilize many practices including glass waterways, cover crops, no-till, minimum till, grid fertilizer applications, and multi-pass fertilizer applications.
