Our Mission

Alford Farms is a multi-generational family farm located in Chalybeate, Kentucky. Our family has been farming this area since the late 1700’s. We strive to serve the land and produce our products in a way that protects the environment. Conserving the land for future generations is paramount.

Our History

Our forefathers moved into Kentucky in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, mostly through the Tennessee plateau region moving south from Virginia. Most families settled on the Green and Nolin rivers.

In the early 20th century, farming and mining were the main industries. Ronell Alford was born during this time and he pioneered our farming operation into what it is today.

In 1957 Ronell Alford purchased the current home place and in 2001 Andy Alford, his grandson, started farming with him.
